Lose

fall in

Why don't all of those
self-help books actually work?

It’s Thanksgiving week
and families are gathering to celebrate all they are grateful for. It is
a perfect time to reflect on the past year and know that you have people
in your life who love and care for you.
I love the holiday season
and how it brings thoughts of the past into our consciousness. I appreciate
remembering the relatives who have passed and the memories of their lives.
I particularly love thinking about how many of their decisions have affected
my life. I know that I’m here because of all of my ancestors and I carry
a part of them with me throughout every day.
I am going to make the
full out Thanksgiving dinner. I love the left overs as much as the original
feast and look forward to making turkey soup that will last me throughout
most of the month to come.
I hope all of you enjoy
your time with your family and friends.

It’s my birthday and
I am so pleased with the past year I have spent. I have had them most amazing
speaking engagements, met incredible people, talked away hours and hours
about all the finer points in life and even found a way to appreciate the
experience of having to have lost my dear brother. He left me with so many
precious memories and a new outlook on my life.
Because of his influence
on my life, I have decided to move to Belize. I am going to start a new
life in a country I’ve only been to once. I am going to start a school
for children who have been neglected and discarded. I will integrate into
a new culture and find a way of making it a better place for those who
haven’t found a way for themselves.
I turned 58 today and
I love my life. I love what my life represents. I am humbled by the many
who have come into my life and inspired me to stand up taller and answer
the call to be responsible for the well being of others.
It has been a marvelous
year.

I am excited about the
series of podcasts that I am doing. The first, Attracting Manifestation
and the second is The Amazing Cures Series. I love the process of discovering
how an author came to discover their passions enough to write about them
and share their vulnerability.
That’s one of the issues
to consider when writing. It requires one to be open about their beliefs
and their passions. Writing is a very revealing and is inspiring to others
who read the writings.
While I’m researching
the authors I’m about to interview, I find out what’s important to them,
stories that aren’t included in their books and what drives them to put
themselves out their in the world.
What is your story?
Will you be able to look back ten years from now and be grateful for the
time that you’ve spent?

Too often we get wrapped
up in the business of survival. What mode have you adapted to? Are you
numb to your indifference to your busy schedule, lack of sleep or just
getting by each month?
It’s a perfect time
to analyze what you are willing to accept in your life. I want to challenge
you to take a step back and take a hard look at how you’ve spent the previous
year. Can you imagine what your life could be like if you could spend your
time in a different manner than you are currently?
What would you wish
your life to represent? Can you see yourself having more fun in a different
career? How about taking that relationship and dusting it off to reclaim
the original feelings of love?
Could you inspire others
to take that first step to begin living their lives in passion? In your
visions, do you see a happier world in which you live?
If you were to take
30 minutes each day and work toward that goal, in one month, you would
have spent 10 hours working towards your ideal!
Go for it! |
