I am amazed that summer
is nearly over! How can that be? I haven't gotten to the beach yet!
It has definately been
an unusual summer. I have spent the majority of my summer learning how
to do my book marketing campaign and talking with the most amazing authors!
It is the most fun, finding out their stories, how they began to write,
what they've done to promote their books and what their challenges are.
I feel very fortunately
to have this focus and to be exposed to such an unusual method of
meeting the most enlightened group of people.
What are you doing that
is exciting? Are you living a little beyond your comfort zone?

I talked to another friend,
Suzanne that I hadn't heard from in over ten years today. This seems to
be a recurring theme lately. This is the third time this month someone
from my past has resurfaced. What do you suppose is going on with this?
I am very curious.
It's great when it seems
like no time has passed, doesn't it? I love the idea that we can pick it
up and renew our relationship and by checking in, we find that there are
so many similarities.
One of my friends Joe
Giove (website IntendBalance.com) is working with the Institute of Noetic
Science and they are creating an energetic system that emits positive energy
into a community and reduces the crime rate drastically. Suzanne has been
working on a screen play that skirts the same issues.
It's so much fun for
me to connect people who have synchronically. Giving to others is an amazing
gift!

I was reminded twice
today about one of my core beliefs. Everything happens for a purpose. Every
person who comes into our lives comes into our lives for a reason.
When life turns challenging,
it is in essence, a notice to tell you that you must make changes. It is
your wake up call. When we ignore the challenge and continue to live our
lives and attempt to pretend there is nothing we need to acknowledge, I
believe the challenge will increase in intensity.
We have to learn from
every day lessons. We need to meet people who enlighten us and become our
teachers. We need to be aware of all the signs that indicate there is something
that needs our attention.
My friend Barbara Wagner
called today. I met her in 1985 and we went to several classes together.
We witnessed each other's relationship confrontations and life's major
challenges. Yet we do more than survive, we thrive.
We lost touch and it
has been five years since we have talked, but it was as though we never
missed a beat!
Barbara asked, so I wonder
why we are back in each other's lives?
Yes, I too wonder!

I am amazed that the
summer is winding down already! Fortunately I took some time out this weekend
to go out to the Sacramento Delta and have lunch with a good friend. We
found a wonderful place called Moore's Riverboat. It is right on the water
and has the friendliest staff! It was like taking a mini vacation.
So getting back to the
desk on Monday was much easier. Not that I ever seem to mind working, in
fact I have a tough time staying away from work. Which is the whole point
of what living your life on purpose is all about.
If you're still dreading
going to work each day, please take a time out and start creating a plan
to look for that ideal job or better yet, start your own business. It's
a lot easier than you think!
If you were to take 30
minutes each day and work toward that goal, in one month, you would have
spent 10 hours working towards your ideal!
