Lose
all the weight you want,
fall in
love with your soul mate,
make millions
of dollars . . .
Why don't all of those
self-help books actually work?

I just came back from
San Antonio and a great visit with the aunts! They are 82 and 78 and kept
moving the entire week! It’s unbelievable how much energy they have. It
was so much fun to be the center of attention. The first thing they did
was take me to Ruby’s where they have the best Pecan Pie in all of Texas!
They remember the little things and kept thinking of all my favorite things.
Wouldn’t it be great
if everyday were like that? Imagine that everyone you know was treated
like that by you. What do you think would be the difference in how your
life would be? Do you think you would feel more special because of it?
One of the things I
noticed is this was the first time I received their loving attention without
feeling uncomfortable. I’m not as comfortable with receiving as I am in
giving. But it was a treat to have them care for me. I didn’t have any
difficulty relaxing and letting them fix my breakfast and argue over the
best place to take me for lunch or dinner or what sites I might enjoy.
The difficulty was coming
back home to reality and having to do everything for myself! Aw, but the
appreciation for my dear sweet aunts is even greater.

I’m looking forward to
connecting with more speakers and those who create events. I was speaking
a couple of weeks ago and realized that about half-way through I remembered
exactly why speaking to others is so important to me. When I had everyone
come up to me afterwards and ask me questions, I felt this overwhelming
sense of accomplishment. I knew that it’s one of the things that I truly
love.
There is such a deep
satisfaction in knowing that I can inspire others to live their life on
purpose and stop putting up with living their lives in neutral. Life is
too short to spend another day worrying about having enough money or working
at a job that doesn’t bring pleasure and reward.
We all have to inspire
each other when ever we get a chance. Each one of us has a talent and a
skill that is unique. When we share our skills and talents, we are living
our life to our upmost potential. The gift is to give to others.rs.

Here we are and it’s
nearly summer. This is the perfect time of year to meet up with friends
and enjoy the weather. It’s hard to concentrate on work this time of year
but what if you knew that it’s only the memories that you share with loved
ones and friends that count in the long run.
What would you do for
someone that you love but might not see for a very long time? Can you imagine
how much a kind deed could mean to them? Have you taken the time to go
out of your way to help someone lately? What is your biggest gift that
you have to share with others?
Do you remember the
last time someone did something kind for you? Do you remember how that
felt? Can you imagine the joy the other person felt for being able to do
something kind to you?
The pleasure one derives
from doing for others is immeasureable.
If you were to take
30 minutes each day and work toward that goal, in one month, you would
have spent 10 hours working towards your ideal!
Go for it! |
