Lose
all the weight you want,
fall in
love with your soul mate,
make millions

Why don't all of those
self-help books actually work?

The summer is definitely
in swing finally and this is the week of our Fourth of July celebration.
Our independence celebration. I think of some many times that I have met
people here in this country who have no idea of what it would be like to
be free. They are trapped in jobs they don't like. They lived in buildings
that are far from rightly being called a home. The neighborhood they dwell
in reminds me of a poorly budgeted Mad Max movie.
Why do we continue to
accept things in our lives that our contrary to our best interest? During
this week of celebrating our countries independence, please take a moment
to think about the things that you have allowed in your live that don't
support who you are. Then take a stand! Decide on your first plan of action
to make a change so that you will broach Independence Day in 2009 knowing
that you are in control of your life and independence.

Friday evening, my friend
Jerry Hart and I stopped in Oakland to pick up some fresh crab, portabella
mushrooms and champagne. The heat was on and had reached 108 in the East
Bay, so we were heading into San Francisco to cool off (only 78 in the
city) to see our friends Kate Johnston and Scott Hunt. (There's so many
side stories here)
So the main idea was
to enjoy the beautiful view from Kate's 12th floor deck, eating our fresh
cracked crab, sipping champagne and watch the golden reflection of the
sun in the windows across the Bay in Berkeley!
It does not get any better!
The laughter, aromas, tastes and stories . . . I can only suggest that
you take the time to spend with your friends and enjoy life daily. That's
what it's all about. Take pleasure in the simple things and especially
the family and friends that you have available for you.
In the long run, it's
the memories that make growing old so sweet!

I was reading a very
old book, published in 1939 and the author was talking about how important
it is to live your life with intention. He portrays that when we die, we
can not take the fancy car, cash in the bank, ego, status and so on with
us. But what we do retain is the sense of our soul, our personae remains
with us and carries on through time.
I do believe that there
is not one single person on this earth who has earned the right to judge
another person, but imagine that you are judging yourself after your death.
What would you imagine is your claim to fame? How would you perceive the
evidence of how you spent your time on this beautiful earth?
If you were to give yourself
a rating from 1 to 10 in each aspect of living: Community Involvement,
Family Relationships, Managing Finances, Health and Well Being, Physical
Conditioning, Education, Professional Achievement, Social Skills and Spiritual
Development, what rating would you access your accomplishments?

I had the best time speaking
at the Powerful Women International event in Berkeley. Check it out, the
MP3 is available for you http://www.createyours2.com/pwi.mp3
I feel so blessed that
I am able to live everyday being inspired by others and inspiring those
I come in contact with.
But, do you think it
happened by accident? No, I have worked since 1992 to learn how to speak.
I took every course I could find. I showed up at service organizations
and spoke for free. I asked for feedback from the experts and I never quit.
How important is it for
you to have what inspires you in your life daily.

I love my life . . .
I love my friends . . . I am so happy to be me! Do you feel the same way?
If not, why not? What gets in your way?
Are you stressed? I ask
my clients, what do you accomplish by being stressed? Does it serve you
or does it wear away at your good health? Usually the answer is the former.
So then the question is, why would you allow others to deteriorate your
good health?
What is the major focus
you need to have this week that will take you to the next level of your
success? Who can help you accomplish it? What will it take for you to ask
for the help you need?
Go for it! There's only
2 answers, Yes or No. If it's No, then say "next" . . . there are too many
people willing to help you and you are cheating them out of the pleasure
helping you get what you need for your success. So ask and ask often!
