Lose
all the weight you want,
fall in
love with your soul mate,
make millions
of dollars . . .
Why don't all of those
self-help books actually work?

I have been preparing
for a speaking engagement next Saturday and I believe that of all the things
that I do, speaking and inspiring otters is my very favorite. I sometimes
feel like I'm 10 feet tall when I'm speaking . . . it is so euphoric!
What is it that brings
that level of energy to you? What inspires you to feel that deep level
of joy? Are you doing enough of it? If not, why not?

I've been so engrossed
in my book marketing campaign I can hardly think of anything else. Yet
life goes on and there's those pesky tasks that have to be done every day.
I often wonder if I should get a house cleaning service? I have no problem
letting the dusting and vacuuming go for weeks at a time. After all, it
will just need to be done again nearly as soon as it's done.
Years ago I decided that
it was important to have dinner guests over once a month because they were
the inspiration to make sure my house was in order and often, I would create
new projects that would make me happy for days to follow.
What do you avoid because
you can? Are there things that you put off because they don't have a high
priority for you? Give yourself permission to establish permission to let
tedious tasks go undone when you're working on specific projects.
After all, to my best
recollection, I have never lost a friend because I didn't get around to
dusting!

What would you do if
you had more than enough money, time and no demands on you?
Would you keep doing
what you're doing now? Would you continue to live where you live? Are there
any organizations that you would like to support?
I often think about those
who are not capable of taking care of themselves and I look for ways of
trying to make a difference for them. I know that I am more fortunate than
children who are homeless or have been put in an orphanage, I choose to
make it my business to look for ways to help children who don't have the
advantages of a proper home.
I love inspiring others
to discover their passion. When we are successful, we are able to make
many choices that come from that success.
If you make one change
in your life each month, a year from now, you will be able to realize a
level of success that you've only imagined you deserve.
Then what will you do?

The excitement is increasing
with every day as I begin to make my plans to move to Belize. The most
difficult task is deciding what to keep and what is so important that I'll
move it.
I went through my clothes
this weekend and had a few friends come over to take what they wanted,
I'm still left with 8 large bags to take to the Hospice center. Next is
my precious books, that will be the most difficult.
I can't remember the
last time I was this excited! I'm anxious to make the changes in my life.
I've been in the Bay Area since 1977 and it's time to move on.
What are you excited
about? Can you remember what it feels like mentally and physically to be
so enthused about what you are doing that you can hardly sit still?
That what life is meant
to be and if you are missing those precious emotions, please take the time
to reevaluate what you want your life to represent.
