How’s your month turning
out? I am so excited about the turn of economics since the first of the
month! What? You haven’t noticed? Well welcome to my world!
Where I come from I
see business is better than ever.
I know! I know that
you are hearing all the bad news about the economy is being thrown in our
face every day from every possible means. But the people who I associate
with are entrepreneurs. They are survivors. When the going gets tough,
the entrepreneurs find new means for developing more business. They choose
their own reality, just as I have my entire life! We have a choice; we
can fold at the news or find a solution. What is your fall-back position?
Granted my third quarter
was not at par, but my first month of the year made up for it! I scaled
down on my expenses starting in September and continued to look for ways
to press on without sacrificing my integrity or long-term goals.
The choice is up to
you! What can you do to make this the best year you’ve ever had? What do
you want to change in your business or job? Take a few minutes each day
to make sure you get exactly what you want!

I participated in a
workshop this week where Tom Rohrer revealed his Re: MinderTM system. It
is the best time management system I have ever seen. I love that everything
I need to take care of each week is on one sheet of paper.
All the details involving
my business goals are on the front side and the back is all my personal
goals. I can update it each week and stay on top of the tasks, appointments,
events, speaking engagements, inventory, phone calls and such that I need
to make each week. It helps me keep focused.
I don’t know about you,
but I have so many things that I am interested in. I have 38 websites and
counting. I am writing multiple articles all the time. I have about 60
products that I have created and I am always creating new products and
new websites. So far I’ve been able to check off more items on my “to do”
list in two weeks than ever before.
So if I find this tool
useful, I’m sure you will enjoy gaining more time in your week. It’s the
one thing that I know we never have enough of.

It is so exciting to
be in the beginning of a brand New Year. It’s a “do over”. Just like in
“City Slickers”. We can make up new rules, have brand new goals and develop
new relationships. You can re-invent yourself and your business. Whatever
you choose to do, no one should be able to tell you to do anything different
than you choose.
I love to inspire others
to dig deep and discover what it is that truly inspires them. Even when
people have their own businesses, they often followed their job and stayed
in the same industry. They have never questioned what makes them happy,
what makes them filled fulfilled or keeps them excited about their work.
When we live our passion,
everyday is a job. It isn’t work, it’s engaging and part of our personalities.
It is fun and rewarding. So it is important for you to make sure you are
living your life on purpose and embracing every day as though it us a precious
gift.
Stop and take stalk
of how you spend your days and what you are doing to live your life on
purpose.

Happy New Year! I have
a feeling this is going to be the best year we've ever had!
Already my first week
started out with a bang! My friend Barbara asked me to come over for New
Year's Eve and we had an amazing dinner, great wine and fantastic conversation.
Her neighbors came over
and their daughter Lisa who had just come back from France where she had
been for 18 months. It was so much fun being a part of the group and sharing
such a pleasant evening.
It is the little things
in life that make it worthwhile. I am so used to working long hours because
I'm single and if I'm home I'm usually writing, reading, working on websites,
creating new material or some new product. I never think of it as work,
it is just how I fill my time.
But I realized on Thursday
as Barbara and I were walking along Crissy Fields in San Francisco, I've
been missing the consistent connection with friends. I always take breaks
and enjoy dinners or a glass of wine with various friends, but I realized
I hadn't been as diligent about creating time with my friends as I needed
to be.
So at the top of my
list for New Year's resolutions is to spend more time with my friends.
What would make you
happier? Can you create a list of 5 things that you can do this year that
will make your life more fun?
If you were to take
30 minutes each day and work toward that goal, in one month, you would
have spent 10 hours working towards your ideal!
Go for it! |
